Meet Miss. OC

Miss. O'Connor has taught in Cairo, Egypt; Edmonton, Alberta; Vancouver, BC; and Lytton, BC. She has taught many different subjects and grades from grade 2 to 9.

Miss. OC loves to travel. She has been to 9 different countries and seen some of the world's oldest treasures. Her favourite part of travelling is learning new languages and eating strange (but delicious) new foods. One of the hardest languages Miss. O'Connor has ever learned is Arabic. One of the strangest things Miss. O'Connor has ever eaten was a 'thousand year old egg' in Vietnam.



I went inside a pyramid in Egypt!


I visited a palace in Thailand.


I hung out in the caves of Petra in Jordan.


Miss. OC also loves to cook! Her favourite recipes are for spiced chicken salad, tabouli, cauliflower cake, and spaghetti sauce. She will eat just about anything, so long as it's not too spicy, and she loves to learn how to cook all her favourite foods.

One of Miss. OC's hobbies is playing the guitar. She bought a guitar at a charity auction in 2009, and has been making music ever since! Miss. OC's current favourite song to play is "Snowfall" by Ingrid Michaelson.

This is Miss. OC's first year of blogging with students, and she is excited to explore the world with her class of Grade 2s and 3s!

      Your new teacher sounds awesome! A cow's eye?!?!?! Groooooossssss! (And super cool, I bet!)

      I can't believe you are all finished Grade 4 now! Next year you will be in Grade 5 and it will have been 3 years since I taught you. You are growing up so fast!

      Hi Rain!

      I'm sorry to hear that Nala ran away. And on your birthday, even? That's an awful birthday present!

      My cats are both doing very well. I just moved into a new house and they are not used to having so much space. They really like the hardwood floors, they always stretch their bodies out on the floors. It's like having fur rugs!
